Description

This album, recorded in 1985 is certainly a must for every Carlebach music and story collector.

Although the album focuses on Purim, there are songs, stories and teachings that are pertinent for the whole year and the whole life.

This unique album is enjoying praising reviews from people of all walks of life, and will be listened to for hours because its content is so rich in song, story and teachings!

The opening piece is a real novelty. Shlomo singing the ‘note,’ Na Nach Nachma Nachman from Uman, in honor of the old Tzadik, Reb Yisroel Dov Odesser.

This hour-long program features 14 songs by Shlomo plus two Dov Shurin songs and two Uncle Lybush songs, including the beautiful, never before released, Yiddish hit, “Helf Mich.”

Uncle Lybush, Dove’s former radio co-host, died on Rosh Chodesh Sivan 2003, and so Dov dedicates it also to his memory.

The program ends with a short Yiddish message and prayer from Shlomo that is so relevant for today that it is simply prophetic!
