This album of songs and torahs of Shlomo Carlebach, with me as moderator, was recorded in 1985, on Mount Zion, It was released in 2000, six years after Reb Shlomo left the world, in an effort to share the amazing personality of Shlomo with as many people as possible.
The album features torahs about the deeper importance of the Holy City, the deeper power of Shabbat, the difference between Moshiach ben David and Moshiach ben Yoseph.
Shlomo reenacts his unique ‘Kiddush Lavana’ and sings “Dovid Melech,” which was created during one of these ceremonies.
Shlomo tells a story of how, on the night that he composed “Shivchi Kamayim,” he used it for kiruv in the most perverted part of Paris!
The album is the torah’s and songs of Shlomo Carlebach. I added my own title song, You Are With Me,” Which I composed shortly after Shlomo’s death, along with “Me Yaaleh,” also composed for Shlomo.
It will be an unforgettable listening experience for all those who wisely order this masterpiece.
